Ryan Dressel, Owner of Stage Right Design, Inc. was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and has studied abroad in the UK, Holland, France, Spain & Italy. His education includes: Regents College in London, England, The University of Kent in Canterbury, England and Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. Ryan has obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and a Degree in Sociology. He also spent ten years working in the mortgage industry with First Franklin Financial, National City Bank and Merrill Lynch. As an HSR Certified Professional Home Stager and Re-Designer, Ryan strives to stimulate the senses by creating a high quality, positive, relaxing home environment. Based on his exceptional training and eye for design, Ryan is the home stager of choice for California Closets of Roseville, and is very proud to have staged their showroom. His work has been featured on HGTV’s 2008 show, “The Big Reveal.” He was also chosen to stage the SMUD (Sacramento Municipal Utility Department) 2008 “Home of the Future,” SMUD’s first Green/Environmentally friendly home in Folsom, California. Ryan was recognized by the Real Estate Staging Association in 2009 as “Rookie Home Stager of the Year” for the US and Canada.
Travis Wills, Owner of Stage Right Design, Inc., was born and raised in Christiansburg, Virginia. While studying for a Bachelor of Science Degree in English from Radford University, he also served in the Virginia Army National Guard for 6 years. After graduating in 1995, he moved to Portland, Oregon and worked at Powell’s City of Books and Nike Headquarters. Since moving to the Sacramento area in 2001, Travis worked in the not-for-profit industry. He has worked with the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the National Association of Legal Investigators, the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, the World Association of Detectives, and the California Special Districts Association. Travis has been a part of Stage Right Design, Inc. since its beginning in 2007 as the bookkeeper. In 2014, he resigned from CSDA and began working full time with Stage Right Design, Inc. He is available to answer any questions you may have about home staging, scheduling or our business process.
Karen Medaris, Stager at Stage Right Design, Inc. is a graduate of Humboldt State with a degree in Studio Art. During her time in college she also studied the fine arts, as well as the gallery system. After graduation, Karen began working with Nordstrom as a Stylist. Her visual talents were immediately recognized by her employer and she was quickly promoted to visual Manager. During her 8 years with Nordstrom, Karen managed all aspects of visual installations including build and design. After leaving Nordstrom to pursue a career in professional painting, she began educating herself under the guidance of top professionals in the Faux and Decorative Arts. Karen is an expert in the application of Venetian plaster, faux finishes, glazing, murals and cabinet finishes. With her many years in visual management and design, home staging was a natural transition for her talents. Karen started working with Stage Right Design, Inc. in 2010 and quickly became an expert home stager. She is highly valued by both Ryan and Travis.
